Job Description

PayPay Securities, as an important part of PayPay’s financial ecosystem, has launched “Point Management” with over 20 million users and “PayPay Asset Management, the first initiative in Japan that enables asset management on a payment application. Now that the business foundation of the financial ecosystem is finally in place, we intend to expand our business to change the structure of asset management in Japan, with the main target being those who have not yet started asset management or were not interested in it before.

To achieve our goal, PayPay Securities is preparing to bring in technical talents not only from Japan but also globally, just as we have done with PayPay’s product division. As an Automation QA Engineer, you will be collaborating with engineers, designers and QAs, and working in an environment where you can be one of the founding members to build up a new organization within PayPay Securities.

Responsibilities:

• Utilizing the Testing Methodology, analyzes testing requirements as the basis for developing testing scenarios for a test level to be executed on a project
• Designs testing scenarios and test cases that will demonstrate conformance to all functional and non-functional requirements, relative to the test level, as defined in business or technical specifications
• Executes tasks related to the production of the test cases, test scripts, and test data, including manual test execution, running automated test run, issue analysis and reporting, or test data creation
• Analyzes the results of the testing process and recommends solutions
• Supports knowledge management and collaboration through participation in testing discussions, communities and improving testing collateral through lessons learned
• Performs test related work assigned by others
• Continuously improve automation frameworks and testing processes
• Leverage AI-assisted development tools (e.g., ChatGPT, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Cursor, or similar) to improve test design, script generation, debugging, documentation, and productivity

Qualifications :

• 3-5 years of experience in designing, executing and maintaining automated test cases for mobile apps, web apps, or APIs
• Proven professional experience with either Appium (for mobile) or Rest Assured (for APIs) 
• Our main coding language for backend/server side is Java. During the QA selection process, you will have a coding challenge
• Experience with TestNG or JUnit
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions
• Have excellent verbal communication skills and documentation skills
• Business level in English and Japanese (JLPT N2 equivalent)

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Professional experience in using one of following frameworks/tools - Appium for mobile apps , Selenium for web-based apps, or unirest/Rest Assured for API's
• Experience in using Cucumber for all test cases
• Experience in stock trading or financial services as QA
• Well versed in using Continuous Integration and Continuous Development tools, like Jenkins/Bitrise or any other.
• Experience in working on QA Automation in securities, finance or similar industries
• Experience in in-house service operation
• The candidate should be comfortable using AI-powered engineering tools to enhance software testing and development efficiency, including
  • Generating and optimizing automation scripts
  • Creating BDD scenarios and test cases
  • Debugging automation failures
  • Test data generation
  • Code review and documentation
  • Improving overall QA productivity while ensuring the quality and correctness of AI-generated outputs
• ISTQB or equivalent certificate

• Hybrid Workstyle (flexible working style including Remote and office) ※There are no fixed rules regarding office attendance in Product group; it depends on each individual's discretion.

Work Hours

• Super Flex Time (No Core Time)
• In principle, 9:00am-5:45pm + 1h break (actual working hours: 7h45m + 1h break)

Holidays

• Every Sat/Sun/National holidays (In Japan)
• Summer break (2 days / generally taken between July 1st and September 30th / subject to change depending on month of employment)
• Year-end and New Year holidays (12/31-1/3)

Paid leave

• Annual paid leave (1 to 10 days depending on the month of joining will be granted upon employment date)

Salary

• Annual salary paid in 12 installments (monthly)
