About the Role

Join Anaplan’s global General Ledger Accounting team as an Accounting Analyst – GL, working directly with our California-based accounting organization. This role follows a fixed schedule of 6:00 AM to 3:00 PM Philippine Time (PHT) to support real-time collaboration with the California team. You will own key cash and reconciliation activities across AMER, APAC, and EMEA; prepare journal entries and support close activities; and partner with accounting and financial reporting colleagues across a global US-based technology company. This is an opportunity to build broad international accounting experience while taking meaningful responsibility within the month-end and quarter-end close.

What You'll Do

• Perform daily bank reconciliations for global bank accounts across AMER, APAC, and EMEA, ensuring transactions are accurately recorded in Workday (our ERP system).
• Prepare and post ad hoc journal entries for bank fees, intercompany transfers, and other cash-related or miscellaneous activity.
• Prepare and record month-end and quarter-end journal entries, including intercompany loan interest and other recurring close entries.
• Develop analyses that support monthly financial results, including contractor cost reviews and other account-level reviews.
• Coordinate key close activities by maintaining calendars, checklists, account reconciliations, and completion tracking.
• Prepare and upload cash and other account reconciliation schedules in financial close software (FloQast).
• Investigate and help resolve accounting errors and reconciling items in partnership with the broader accounting team.
• Partner with Financial Reporting team to deliver monthly schedules, financial statement support, and audit/PBC requests.
• Identify opportunities to improve the accuracy, efficiency, and consistency of accounting processes and documentation.

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3+ years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting, public accounting, audit, or a similar accounting role.
• Strong understanding of journal entries, account reconciliations, and the month-end close process.
• Experience using an enterprise ERP system and the ability to learn new accounting tools quickly.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including lookup functions and pivot tables.
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with global teams.
• Excellent organization and follow-through, with the ability to manage competing priorities and meet close deadlines.
• Ability to consistently work the 6:00 AM-3:00 PM PHT schedule.

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA qualification.
• Public accounting or Big 4 experience.
• Experience with Workday Financials, FloQast, or comparable accounting and close-management systems.
• Exposure to US GAAP and/or IFRS in a global organization.
• Experience supporting multiple legal entities, currencies, or regions in a shared-services or multinational environment.
