The PACE is fast. The expectations are high. The contribution matters. Working at TYTAN is more than a job, this is a mission. We push boundaries, think big, and hold ourselves to the highest standard. Our mission and values guide everything we do, and we're looking for people who are driven by ownership, embrace challenges, and are energized by meaningful work. If you're motivated by impact and thrive in dynamic environments, you'll fit right in. At TYTAN , we aim to set a global standard in autonomous air defense with AI-driven, cost-efficient systems that counter unmanned aerial threats at scale. We protect people. We protect critical infrastructure. We protect European sovereignty. In our Prototyping Lab, ideas become hardware fast, and our 3D Printing Area is at the heart of it. As a Working Student, you will be the bridge between our engineering teams and the lab. Engineers bring you the parts they need; you turn their requests into a clear plan, pick the right printer and material, and deliver a finished part on time. Because many teams need prints at once, you will balance competing requests, keep everyone updated on status and make sure our fleet of around 30 printers runs reliably every day. Your roadmap to make an impact Print requests: Take requests from engineering, clarify material, tolerances, quantity and deadline, and give honest feedback on printability Print preparation: Prepare and slice models for FDM and resin printers, choosing settings, orientation and supports for each part Capacity planning: Plan and track capacity across around 30 printers, prioritise competing requests and keep requesters updated on status Maintenance: Carry out routine and preventive maintenance, including nozzle and hot end changes, calibration, cleaning, belt and bed checks, firmware updates and resin tank care Supplier repairs: Organise service jobs with suppliers for repairs beyond in-house maintenance and follow them up until each printer is back in operation Lab organisation: Keep the 3D Printing Area clean, safe and organised, including filament and resin stock, spare parts and consumables Continuous improvement: Make the area work better through improved workflows, storage, labelling, documentation and request tracking Currently enrolled at a university, ideally in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, product design, aerospace or a related field A real passion for 3D printing: you print in your free time, tinker with your own machines or follow the community Hands-on experience with FDM printers, ideally Prusa (CORE ONE L) and Bambu Lab (X1 Carbon, X1E, H2D, H2S, AMS) Confident with slicers such as PrusaSlicer, Bambu Studio or OrcaSlicer Very organised: you can plan, prioritise and track many requests at once without losing the overview Clear communicator in English. German is a plus Nice to have Experience with Formlabs resin printers and PreForm, including post-processing (washing, curing). Basic CAD skills to make small fixes to models before printing. Knowledge of engineering materials (PLA, PETG, ASA, PA-CF and similar) and when to use them. Experience with print farm or queue management tools. Why TYTAN? Build technology with real operational impact: Develop autonomous defense systems designed to protect lives and strengthen Europe’s security Shape scalable defense capabilities: Work on solutions built for mass deployment, cost efficiency, resilience, and reliable production at scale Contribute to networked air defense: Help integrate our systems into multi-layered defense architectures alongside sensors, command systems, and effectors Develop for real-world operations: Build capabilities together with end users and improve them continuously based on direct operational feedback Move fast and take ownership: Work in a focused, high-performance team where decisions are made quickly and individual contributions have immediate impact Define a new generation of defense technology: Join early and help shape the products, engineering standards, culture, and direction of a fast-growing deep-tech company Work with an international mission-driven team: Collaborate with experienced specialists united by the goal of creating sovereign and effective security capabilities for Europe Our Benefits Monthly allowances: €68/month in flexible benefits including lunch discounts and EGYM Wellpass or shopping credit Regular health care events: Health check-ups, skin screenings, mental health workshops, and an annual vitamin infusion on us Referral bonus: Earn a reward when someone you refer joins the team Regular team events: On- and off-site activities to connect and celebrate together Corporate discounts: Exclusive employee discounts across a wide range of partner brands Flexibility : Flexible working hours and hybrid work model, plus a modern Munich office built for focus and collaboration About us At TYTAN, it is more than just a job; it is about embracing autonomy, personal growth, and purpose.
