Waste Coordinator

As Amazon Australia continues to grow our operations to serve our customers, we need to work as smart as we can to keep all our team members safe, fulfilled, motivated and empowered. To help us achieve Basic qualifications: - 1+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience - High school or equivalent - Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays - Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach - Work 40 hours/week, and overtime as required - Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service - Experience in oral and written communication in English - Experience communicating clearly and concisely with leadership, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams - Experience handling administrative details independently, while exercising good judgment in keeping team members adequately informed Preferred: - Experience understanding process flow and suggest improvements to deliver cost savings, inventory reduction, or other benefits to the site - Experience in operations management for a fulfillment or distribution center - Experience managing inventory in warehousing, retail or distribution setting - Knowledge of technical understanding of the waste management process - Interest in Environmental, Health and Safety field of work and Environmental Compliance at the site level - Understanding of Receiving processes and operations - A Diploma or Degree in Environmental Science or Science Acknowledgement of country: In the spirit of reconciliation Amazon acknowledges the Traditional Custodians of country throughout Australia and their connections to land, sea and community.
