Supplier emissions and Scope 3 measurement lead, AWS Global Sustainability

AWS is looking for a Scope 3 Inventory Manager Lead to own the end-to-end management of supplier-level greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Sustainability, Data Science, or a related quantitative field - 5+ years of experience in carbon accounting, GHG emissions measurement, or environmental data management - 3+ years of experience working with Scope 3 emissions data, including supplier-reported GHG data collection and validation - Experience applying the GHG Protocol Corporate Standard and Scope 3 Standard in a corporate or consulting setting Preferred: - Experience working with engineering and technical teams to build automated solutions - Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools - Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders - Master's degree in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Industrial Ecology, or related field - Experience managing large-scale supplier data collection programs across global supply chains - Familiarity with life cycle assessment (LCA) methodologies and emissions factor databases (e.g., DEFRA, EPA, ecoinvent) - Knowledge of emerging sustainability reporting frameworks and regulations (e.g., CSRD, SEC Climate Disclosure, ISSB) Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
