Structural Engineer - Material Handling Systems, Mechanical Project Engineering

Amazon is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer to join our Material Handling Systems team. This essential role will support the analysis, design, coordination, and documentation of structural systems Basic qualifications: - Experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office Suite - 5+ years of structural engineering experience - Professional Engineer (PE) license in at least one US state - Experience performing structural analysis and design of steel structures and connections - Proficiency in structural FEA analysis software such as RISA - Strong knowledge of steel connection design and detailing - Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or other software for structural calculations - Knowledge of IBC, ASCE 7, AISC 360, and AWS D1.1 standards - Knowledge of seismic design and lateral force-resisting systems - Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering Preferred: - Master's degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Structural, Civil, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering - Experience with Amazon or large-scale e-commerce fulfillment facilities - Experience designing conveyor support structures, equipment platforms, mezzanines, or similar industrial steel structures - Experience with visual programming or computational design tools such as Dynamo or Grasshopper - Experience with Rhino 3D and Karamba3D - Experience mentoring or providing technical guidance to other engineers Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
