AWS is deploying battery energy storage systems (BESS) across its global data center fleet. To support this initiative, we are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to support the BESS program lead Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent - 5+ years of technical product or program management experience - 5+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience Preferred: - 7+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience - Master's degree or equivalent in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, material science, physics or equivalent - • Experience in battery energy storage systems (BESS), battery technology, energy storage deployments, data center power architecture, utility interconnection, or grid-scale energy systems - • Hardware product development experience in data center power infrastructure or adjacent industries (EV, consumer electronics, power systems etc) - • Experience defining KPIs/SLAs used to drive multi-million dollar programs and managing programs across cross-functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules - • Excellent written and verbal communication skills — able to distill complex technical programs into concise, actionable narratives for Director and VP audiences Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
