Sr Technical Program Manager, Amazon Robotics

We are a team of builders who work passionately to apply emerging robotics hardware and software technologies to solve real-world challenges that will transform Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field - 10+ years of hardware engineering experience - 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience - Experience delivering products against plan in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined, distributed-responsibility and often ambiguous environment - Experience managing multiple projects in parallel through prioritization, planning, and task delegation - Experience in core project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk management, and critical path management - Experience working in a fast-paced and highly cross-functional organization - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Experience handling ambiguous or undefined challenges through strong problem solving abilities - Ability to develop Gantt charts and identify project critical path Preferred: - Can show strong verbal and written communication skills - Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients - 7+ years of direct work with engineering teams experience - 7+ years of full product life cycle experience - Experience in the mechanical or controls field, or experience with robotics work cells and their control systems - Experience working in a fast-paced environment similar to a high-tech start-up - Experience coordinating complex products with stringent technical requirements, development cycles and schedules - 3+ years of program or project management experience, or PMP certificate - Basic fundamental knowledge of mechanical and electrical design to channel dependencies with partner teams in Manufacturing Test, Reliability, Sourcing, Hardware Quality, Safety, Compliance, EMC, Firmware, Security and Networking Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
