Sr. System Development Engineer, Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovation (RDPI)

Robotics Delivery & Packaging Innovation (RDPI) Global Engineering is looking for a System Development Engineer (SysDE) to join our New Product Introduction (NPI) team. Our mission is to eliminate operational Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree - Knowledge of at least one modern programming language such as C, C++, Java, or Perl - Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, or experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers - 5+ years of professional system development or controls engineering experience (or equivalent). - Experience designing or architecting controls/automation systems for new or existing products, including making technical trade-offs. - Hands-on experience with industrial control systems and PLC programming (e.g., Codesys, Allen-Bradley, Siemens, or Beckhoff) using Ladder Logic and/or Structured Text. - Experience with industrial networking, system integration, and safety signal integration (e.g., E-Stops, I/O). Preferred: - Experience with automation and any version control tools, or experience in software development and experience in deploying identity and access management systems - Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments, or experience working with Material handling equipment (MHE) - Experience with AWS technologies like Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, FireHose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions - Experience leading the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems, or experience managing teams - Experience embedding with hardware or product development teams to influence design for deployment, reliability, or maintainability. - Experience mentoring engineers and participating in technical reviews, hiring, or promotion assessments. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
