Sr. Solutions Architect, Cross-Industry Greenfield

This is the role where architecture meets impact. The Account Solutions Architect (SA) is the trusted technical advisor that customers rely on from first engagement through production and beyond - building Basic qualifications: - 8+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience - 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience - Bachelor's degree, or Cloud Technology Certification (such as Solutions Architecture, Cloud Security Professional or Cloud DevOps Engineering) - Experience working in at least one modern programming language (e.g., Python, Java, TypeScript) with the ability to read and work across others as needed - Owned a sustained technical advisory relationship with customers - where accumulated context and trust resulted in expanded workloads, deeper engagement, and long-term platform commitment - Demonstrated ability to advise on architecture and design, and to build working solutions independently (code, infrastructure as code, tested deployments) to prove value, resolve competing approaches, or unblock decisions - where the technical approach was not predefined; diagnosed complex cross-system issues beyond single-service scope, driving resolution across organizational boundaries - Track record of communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive-level stakeholders or clients - Experience defining technical approaches where multiple valid paths compete and no single established pattern applies, producing solutions that others can reference and scale Preferred: - Defined the technical approach where multiple valid paths competed - not just selecting from established options - resulting in customers launching workloads based on the strength of the technical case; led technical strategy for their assigned accounts - Worked in a pre-sales or customer-facing technical advisory capacity embedded within a sales or account team, partnering with account managers or sellers to progress deals and shape customer outcomes - Produced reusable work (reference designs, patterns, technical content) that other technical practitioners adopted, and led resolution of contentious technical issues through quality of reasoning rather than positional authority - Synthesized patterns across customer engagements into product feedback that shaped where engineering and product teams invested. - Hands-on proficiency with AI/ML in production environments: agentic architectures, RAG pipelines, foundation model integration, or AI-augmented development workflows - Relevant technology certifications Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
