As a Migration & Modernization Specialist Solutions Architect at AWS, you’ll build technical relationships with customers of all sizes and develop solutions to accelerate their cloud modernization/migration Basic qualifications: - Experience architecting or deploying Cloud/Virtualization solutions in enterprise customers - Experience architecting infrastructure solutions using both Linux/Unix and Windows with specific recommendations on server, load balancing, HA/DR, & storage architectures - Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients - 8+ years of design, implementation, or consulting experience across core infrastructure domains: virtualization (VMware), containers, storage, databases, and application modernization - Fluent in both Japanese and English Preferred: - Knowledge of AWS services, market segments, customer base and industry verticals - Experience in adjacent technology domains such as containerization, serverless, database migration, and infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation) - AWS certifications strongly preferred (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, Database Specialty) - Strong preference for experience in technical pre-sales or customer-facing architecture roles involving large-scale migration or data center transformation programs Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
