Amazon's Worldwide Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team is responsible for ensuring that Amazon's global operation is the benchmark for environmental excellence across all similar industries. Basic qualifications: - 10+ years of risk management, audit, legal, compliance or related field work including engaging with external stakeholders experience - 7+ years of team management with 5 or more direct reports experience - Experience with program management spanning planning, execution and project delivery - Experience communicating across technical and non-technical audiences, including executive level stakeholders or clients - Experience working with and managing third party vendors - Bachelor’s degree in the Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study - Experience holding internal and external stakeholders accountable to program milestones through structured controllership and governance mechanisms Preferred: - Experience implementing lean principles and process improvement in an operational environment - Master's degree in the Environmental Sciences, Environmental Engineering, or related field of study - Certified Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM), Registered Environmental Manager (REM), or equivalent professional environmental certification - Experience with ISO 14001 environmental management system design, implementation, or certification - Experience partnering with legal counsel on regulatory strategy, enforcement response, and compliance risk mitigation in a high-stakes regulatory environment Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
