Amazon is seeking a talented and motivated Gear Design Engineer to own the design, analysis, and design-for-manufacturing of high-performance while cost-efficient gear systems for our robotic platforms Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or an equivalent field - Experience in gear mechanism design and analysis for robotics, automation, or precision machinery - Experience managing external vendors and co-design partnerships for gear components - Experience with gear design software (KISSsoft, MASTA, ROMAX, or equivalent) Preferred: - Master's degree or PhD in Mechanical Engineering with a focus on gear/power transmission systems - Experience designing compact, high-torque-density gear trains for robotics or aerospace applications - Familiarity with AGMA/ISO gear standards and rating methods Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
