Sr. ESD System Design Engineer, Centralized Electrical Engineer (CEE) - Devices

Amazon Lab126 is seeking an experienced Senior Electro-Static Discharge (ESD) Systems Design Engineer to join the Centralized Electrical Engineering (CEE) Organization. As part of this role you will have Basic qualifications: - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - 7 years or experience or Bachelors degree with at least 10 years of experience - Experience in system-level ESD design for consumer electronic device - Knowledge of ESD failure mechanisms of electronic devices and ICs - Simulation experience in the area of ESD and/or EMI, signal integrity - Experience in system-level ESD testing and measurement techniques - Experience in 3D electromagnetic fields simulation and circuit analysis tools - Knowledge of analog and digital circuit design such as low power circuit, audio circuit, processor architecture, memories, RF integration, and various communications protocols (I2C, UART, SPI, USB, MIPI, I2S, etc.) - Knowledge of schematic capture and PCB layout using common tools (Orcad, Allegro, etc.) Preferred: - Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Lab experience in ESD gun, TLP (Transmission Line Pulse) machine, ESD current probe, high voltage measurement, etc. - Experience developing robust designs for EMI and RF de-sensitization - Knowledge of mixed-signal board-level design - Experienced in signal/power integrity analysis Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
