Sr. Aerospace Hardware Engineer

Amazon Leo is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite network. Our mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet connectivity to customers beyond the reach of existing networks. From individual households to Basic qualifications: - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - 5+ years of experience developing hardware across the full product lifecycle (concept through production at scale) - Experience with PCB design and debug, including processors, FPGAs, power supplies, and sensors - Experience with complex board designs (e.g., high-speed interfaces, power electronics, or high-reliability systems) - Experience using ECAD tools for schematic capture and PCB layout - Experience driving hardware through bring-up, validation, and integration Preferred: - Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Experience with the project management of technical projects - 7+ years of experience developing hardware across the full product lifecycle in aerospace, automotive, or similar high-reliability environments - Experience with satellite, avionics, or vehicle control systems - Experience with system integration into complex electromechanical assemblies or enclosures - Experience with radiation-tolerant design or qualification for harsh environments - Experience developing test systems or automation (e.g., Python, C/C++) - Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) or similar system-level test methodologies - Experience with low-level firmware development and hardware/software integration Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
