Employer: Audible, Inc.Title: Software Development Engineer IIILocation: 1 Washington Park, Newark, NJ 07102Duties: Serve as technical lead throughout the full software development lifecycle Basic qualifications: Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field plus two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or other occupation involving experience in software development. Experience may be gained concurrently and must include: Two (2) years in each of the following: - Designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, or distributed, and highly scalable software applications, tools, systems, or services using Java, Node.js, or Object-Oriented Design - Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team - Working with version control systems including Git or similar - Working with relational databases including MySQL, PostgreSQL, or Oracle, or non-relational databases including DynamoDB - Working with web technologies (HTML, CSS, or JavaScript) or web services (RESTful APIs) - Creating and maintaining large-scale distributed applications or services leveraging cloud infrastructure - Developing secure cloud applications using AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) policy based authorization - Integrating security best practices into the development lifecycle, including encryption at-rest and in-transit, role-based access control, or secure API authentication mechanisms - Deploying and autoscaling AWS Simple Workflow (SWF)-based services using custom scaling policies - Working with AWS Transcribe and Rekognition services to automate content policy checks on audio and images. One (1) year in each of the following: - Providing technical leadership and project management for all aspects of the software development lifecycle - Building containerized cloud applications using Elasticsearch, NoSQL databases, AWS CDK, or AWS CloudFormation.
