Senior Software Development Engineer, Prime Video Offers Expansion

Behind every "Buy," "Rent," "Subscribe," or "Bundle" button on Prime Video is a decision our system made in milliseconds: what offer to show, at what price, with what promotions, for which customer, in Basic qualifications: - 8+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Knowledge of professional software engineering & best practices for full software development life cycle, including coding standards, software architectures, code reviews, source control management, continuous deployments, testing, and operational excellence - 3+ years of distributed systems experience, or Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or equivalent - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers, or experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations - Experience in written and verbal communication with the ability to present complex technical information in a clear and concise manner to executives and non-technical leaders - Experience building and operating high-availability services in production with demonstrated ownership of operational health Preferred: - Experience in payments or e-commerce - Experience in Database like NoSQL, or experience in technical support and experience with automation and any version control tools - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - Experience with international expansion: regulatory compliance, local payment methods, market-specific configuration at scale - Familiarity with caching strategies, traffic analysis, and capacity planning for high-TPS services - Hands-on experience using AI/GenAI tools to accelerate engineering workflows while maintaining quality standards - Track record of identifying and driving improvements to operational health, testing practices, or development processes without explicit direction Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
