Senior Mechanical Engineer – Spacecraft Mechanisms, Amazon Leo Mechanical - Mechanisms

From individual households to Basic qualifications: - Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans and functional test procedures - Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, aerospace engineering, or equivalent. - 5+ years experience working in an aerospace, defense or automotive design/manufacturing environment in a Lead Engineering role. Preferred: - Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production - Master's degree in computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or equivalent - Proficient in developing design models and drawings for production and analysis via Computer Aided Design (CAD) software. Experience working with Product Lifecycle Management tools for configuration management. - Experience providing input and leadership to cross functional teams to introduce new products to production. - Experience designing and qualifying space mechanisms, specifically those driven by stepper motors, BLDC motors, or springs, and associated sensors to ensure appropriate performance. - Experience in materials selection related to wear performance in space applications. - Experience using NX, Teamcenter, and Ansys for CAD. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
