Senior Interdisciplinary Systems Engineer, Amazon Robotics

Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree or above in Mechanical Engineering - Experience analyzing dependencies, tradeoffs, and sensitivities across multi-disciplinary systems - Knowledge of SolidWorks or similar CAD experience and understanding of best practices for part design, and advanced assemblies - Experience in integrated system design with a strong mechanical hardware focus. - Demonstrated ability to design mechanical modules and critically challenge mechanical design decisions at a technical level. - Experience leading technical collaborations and creating alignment across diverse groups (hardware, software, controls, program management). Preferred: - Experience in integrated system design of industrial robotic or automated systems. - Experience with the full hardware product development lifecycle — from concept through manufacturing transition and field deployment. - Experience with actuator/sensor evaluation, selection, and integration into robotic platforms. - Knowledge of manufacturing methods and rapid prototyping techniques (CNC, 3D printing, waterjet, laser cutting). - Proficiency with PLM software and Engineering Change Order (ECO) processes. - Demonstrated team leadership skills and experience with 1 or more relevant domains: Industrial Automation, Robotic Manipulation, Workcell Automation, Conveyance Systems.
