Senior Embedded Software Development Engineer - Sensor & Compute, Amazon Robotics

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll partner with a talented, multidisciplinary team to design and Basic qualifications: - 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience - 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience - 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience - Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team - 2+ years of contributing to new and current systems architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) experience - BA/BS/MS/PhD in computer science, computer engineering or related discipline. - High level of proficiency with C/C++ programming languages. - 2+ years of experience as a mentor, tech advisor directing an engineering team - 6+ years of embedded software development experience which must include direct, hands-on experience of full embedded software development cycle, including design, prototype, development, code review, test, build, release, manufacturing and deployment. Preferred: - 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience - Experience driving collaborative projects from conception to delivery, or experience troubleshooting and documenting findings - Experience with sensors, including but not limited to camera, stereo camera, time-of-flight sensors, Radar, and Lidar. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Excellent stewardship, teamwork and partnership skills with a high level of attention to detail. - Ability to travel both domestically and internationally as required by the program Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
