Satellite Systems Engineer, Space Networking Solutions

Develop complex satellite systems that address the needs of targeted government and international customers with specific solutions that have the potential to scale. As a systems engineer, you will own Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline - 5+ years of experience in Space systems engineering principles and techniques; Power, mass, and other technical performance budgets; Requirements analysis and flow-down; Design verification and validation processes; Configuration management; Satellite level integration and test processes - 4+ years of experience in spacecraft systems engineering, Spacecraft design, or a related field, with hands-on experience in satellite design and integration. - 4+ years of experience with the derivation and maintenance of requirements from a system level down to lower levels - Hands-on experience with spacecraft integration, flatsat testing, hardware-in-the-loop testing, or mission operations - 4+ years of experience in the use of standard electronic lab test equipment (i.e. network analyzers, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, function generators, multimeters, etc.) Preferred: - Master’s degree in engineering, physics, aerospace, or similar field or equivalent experience - Participate in software-to-hardware integration and test activities to ensure mission functionality pre- and post-launch operations - Perform technical data analysis, verify, and maintain systems configurations in accordance with defined constraints and operational requirements - Performs various analyses to optimize the satellite system and/or system architecture - Resolves cross-functional technical issues using facts and data to determine the optimal technical approach - Develop and improve systems engineering processes and rigor Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
