Principal Software Engineer, Delivery Experience (DEX)

As Principal Engineer for Delivery Choices in Hyderabad, you'll own the technical foundation for Add to Delivery, our fastest-growing customer experience that delivered $billions incremental OPS in 2025 Basic qualifications: • 12+ years of professional software development experience • 7+ years programming experience with at least one software programming language • 5+ years experience contributing to the system design or architecture (architecture, design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and current systems • Experience as a mentor, tech lead OR leading an engineering team Preferred: • Ability to take raw product requirements and develop software architectures and designs to bring them to life • Analytical abilities, proven design skills and a track record of delivery • Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers • Hands-on expertise in many disparate technologies, typically ranging from front-end user interfaces through to back-end systems and all points in between • Experience in driving systemic operational improvements • Experience mentoring software engineers to improve their skills, and make them more effective, product software engineers • Experience influencing software engineers best practices across teams • Experience in communicating with users, other technical teams, and management to collect requirements, describe software product features, technical designs, and product strategy • Master's degree in computer science or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience • Experience with or knowledge of AWS services • Deep understanding of e-commerce delivery systems, promise calculation, and fulfillment optimization • Experience coordinating architecture across multiple organizations without direct authority • Track record of successful international expansion and marketplace-specific technical adaptations Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
