Principal Risk Manager, Analytics and Insights

We are a startup within one of the fastest growing and most strategic parts of Amazon. Analytics and Insight owns the product, technology, and deployment roadmap for advanced analytics and insights products Basic qualifications: - Knowledge of data engineering pipelines, cloud solutions, ETL management, databases, visualizations and analytical platforms - Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.) - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, analytics, mathematics, statistics, IT or equivalent, or experience in information security and compliance - Experience with AI/ML technologies - 10+ years of experience in risk management, data governance, or data privacy/protection, with at least 5 years in roles involving technical data systems, integrations, or platform architecture. - Demonstrated expertise in data governance frameworks, data classification, lineage, and metadata management. Preferred: - Experience with and deep understanding of advertising technologies (i.e., ad server, DSP) - 5+ years of digital media/marketing strategy, data analysis, and data analytics/visualization experience - Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field - Knowledge of AI governance frameworks, responsible AI principles, and emerging regulations around automated decision-making. - Certifications in data governance (CDMP, DGSP), privacy (CIPP/CIPM), or cloud architecture are a plus. - Experience in Advertising Technology (AdTech) or Marketing Technology (MarTech) data governance. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
