The Amazon Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is deeply committed to the safety and wellbeing of our people. WHS sets the strategic direction to provide resources, best practices, and safe environments Basic qualifications: - High school or equivalent diploma - CPR course - Valid card evidencing successful completion of a first aid, CPR, and AED course from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, or willingness to obtain it within four weeks of employment - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications - British Columbia: - • High School or equivalent diploma; AND - • Must have one of the following: - o Valid Provincial Primary Care Paramedic Certification from the Ministry of Health Emergency Medical Assistants (EMA) Licensing Board; OR - o Current valid Emergency Medical Responder (EMR) Certification from the Emergency Medical Assistants (EMA) Licensing Board; OR - o Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) from the British Columbia College of Nurses and midwives (BCCNM), AND have successfully completed the first aid training course or a first aid examination developed or approved by WorkSafe BC Preferred: - Experience with workers' compensation - Experience and certification in teaching first-aid, CPR and AED - Preferred Qualifications: - • Job experience as a Military Medic (Canadian Armed Forces) - • Certified to teach first aid, CPR, and AED training from the Canadian Red Cross - • Proficient in Microsoft Office - • Experience with an industrial wellness program - • Experience managing musculoskeletal disorders, ergonomics, and coaching on body mechanics - • Demonstrated work experience with OSHA regulations and Workers Compensation - • Proficient in digital recordkeeping Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. As a total compensation company, Amazon's package may include other elements such as sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
