Leo is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Basic qualifications: - Experience leading engineering development or operations teams (lead engineer, test director, supervisor, manager, etc.) - Experience with project management of technical projects - Strong organizational, analytical, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills - Excellent communication and leadership skills - Able to obtain and maintain a US Passport and Must meet customs entry requirements to include but not limited to: Yellow Fever vaccine and other immunization requirements as recommended by the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - Able to pass Kennedy Space Center background checks Preferred: - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in electrical engineering, computer engineering, software engineering, or information technology. - 2+ years of experience as a manager or supervisor of engineering teams in an aerospace environment - 2+ years of experience with electrical ground support equipment development, test, and day to day operations - Familiarity with common avionics interface protocols, cable harnesses, instrumentation racks, breakout boxes, and programmable power supplies - Understanding of TCP/IP networking and network physical layer hardware (fiber optic, Ethernet, switches, firewalls, out of band management, etc) - Experience with corporate procurement processes and contracts - Demonstrated history of managing workflows and production line support (Jira tickets, work orders, on-call rotation management, etc.) - Implementation of AWS services and permissions - Knowledge of NFPA 70 National Electric Code Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
