Ground Gas Specialist

As an Amazon Worldwide (WW) Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) Ground Gas Specialist you will be responsible for all aspects of supporting one of the safest real estate programs in the world! You will partner Basic qualifications: - Experience in compliance, audit or risk management - Knowledge of Microsoft Office products and applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio, and MS Project) at an advanced level - A Bachelor degree (or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework) in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field of study. - Proven experience serving as an environmental technical resource, program specialist, or project manager with a demonstrable focus on ground gas - Experience in development and implementation of standards, policies, and programs with a demonstrable focus on ground gas and vapour intrusion. - Possess knowledge and experience regarding the operation, maintenance, and/or monitoring of a variety of ground gas / vapour intrusion systems (ideally including remote monitoring equipment). - A Bachelor degree (or equivalent level of qualification in line with the European Qualifications Framework) in Geology, Environmental Science, Chemistry, Chemical or Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Process Engineering, or related field of study. Preferred: - Experience leveraging technology and implementing lean principles / Six Sigma methodologies to drive process improvements or equivalent - Master's degree or equivalent - Master's degree or above - Experience using English communication skills, both written and verbal, to foster seamless interaction with stakeholders at all levels - Experience in written and verbal communication skills to communicate with technical and non-technical audiences, including senior leadership - Experience working with a matrixed team of stakeholders to achieve a common goal or equivalent - Experience working with fast-moving, high-performance teams and driving innovative solutions tailored to unique business environments - Can manage a high volume of requests and competing deadlines - Speak, write, and read fluently in German - The ability to design, oversee construction, and manage ground gas and vapour intrusion systems internationally. - The ability to synthesize large amounts of information into focused conclusions. - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
