The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Center for Quantum Computing (CQC) in Pasadena, CA, is looking to hire an Equipment Engineer who will aid in AWS’s effort to bring cloud quantum computing services to its Basic qualifications: - Experience problem solving and root cause analysis - 4+ years of root cause analysis and process design experience - Project Management Professional (PMP) certification, or 5+ years of conducting predictive and preventative maintenance procedures experience - Experience with a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) - Experience in development in the last 3 years, or experience with general troubleshooting/debugging of hardware - Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings, or experience with electrical theory, robotics, controls components, and automated equipment - 5 years or more of Semiconductor Equipment Engineer Experience in one of the Semiconductor modules (Photolithography, Deposition, Etch, Wet Processing Equipment, and Packaging and Assembly Equipment). - Statistical Process Control (SPC) - Equipment Qualification - Associate's Degree (A.S.) in Electronics, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance, Semiconductor Manufacturing, or a related technical field; or Military Electronics training; or higher degree (B.S., M.S.) in an engineering discipline. - Proficiency troubleshooting electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, vacuum, and automation systems. Preferred: - Experience in the design of complex mechanical products and equipment at volume - 5+ years of directly managing and being responsible for multiple large projects experience, or experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment - Experience supporting in one or multiple semiconductor toolsets (Lithography, ALD, CVD, PVD, Etch, Metrology, Packaging). - Experience leading equipment installations, relocations, and factory acceptance testing (FAT/SAT). - Experience developing equipment roadmaps and lifecycle strategies. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
