Data Center Operations Sr Manager - APJC, Network and Cabling Decom

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Network & Cable Decommissioning Manager to join our team. As a manager in this team, you will work directly with engineers and managers across the company to support Basic qualifications: - Experience as a general contractor and in vendor management (request for proposals, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution - Knowledge of data center infrastructure design, operations, or delivery - 2+ years of data center, critical environment, computer hardware repair, infrastructure cabling, network deployment, or data center operations experience, or experience working in a data center environment (racking and stacking gear, cable management, hot/cold aisle containment) - Experience leading large teams, with demonstrable ability to hire, develop, and manage high-performing technical teams - Experience in managing managers - Experience in root cause analysis and error correction, identifying changes to procedures and systems to implement long-term fixes and avoid repeating issues Preferred: - Knowledge of building codes and regulations including Life Safety, BOCA, NFPA, NEC, and OSHA - Experience owning the operation of a mission-critical team or product - Experience with large-scale technical operations or large-scale compute farms - Experience developing MOPs and SWMS for planned works, or experience in facilities management - Experience leading change in a multiple site environments - Experience running the decommissioning lifecycle end to end from asset identification and liquidation records through logical turndown confirmation, physical disconnect, and asset disposition.
