Corporate Counsel, Seller Services – Marketplace

Amazon's Legal Department is seeking a talented business lawyer to support our rapidly growing and evolving marketplace business in India. This is an individual contributor position based in Bangalore, Basic qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Law - 8+ years of legal experience - Experience in oral and written communication in English - Experience in technology/content licensing and the e-commerce industry or equivalent - Experience managing internal stakeholder relationships and working successfully across organizations and different cultures to deliver results requiring collaboration and coordination with multiple teams - Experience working independently and directly with all levels of legal and business partners or equivalent - LLB in India or equivalent law degree in other common law jurisdiction - 8-14 years of post-qualification experience - Competence in a broad range of corporate, legal compliance and business laws - Demonstrated ability to analyze and assess business processes/products, spot issues, and structure practical solutions - Excellent legal and business judgment Preferred: - Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work - Experience managing and growing complex business relationship at scale - Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment - Experience navigating complex regulatory environments and providing strategic legal counsel in fast-paced, high-growth settings Our inclusive culture empowers Amazonians to deliver the best results for our customers.
