Amazon's Global Entertainment Media (GEM) IP team manages trademark and copyright matters across Amazon's entertainment portfolio, including Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Luna, Audible, Amazon Music, Basic qualifications: - Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent - 5+ years of post bar admission legal experience - 5+ years of experience with trademark and copyright matters (including clearance, prosecution, enforcement, licensing, and drafting) related to digital content, filmed entertainment, gaming, and/or audio media. - Experience managing a trademark portfolio consisting of domestic and foreign marks. - Experience leading investigations and negotiations to resolve third-party copyright and trademark disputes. Preferred: - Experience as in-house attorney - Experience with complex commercial/legal concepts and drafting, ability to quickly read and interpret legal terminology and reasoning - Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills, or experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities - Expert-level knowledge of trademark and copyright issues, opportunities, and best practices for companies in the entertainment and digital media space. - Experience working across both brand-level and content-level IP matters. - Experience supporting IP matters in gaming, interactive entertainment, podcasting, audio content, and/or consumer products/merchandising. - Ability to translate IP issues to members of the creative, marketing, business, management, and legal teams. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
