Where your CV text goes

To read your CV — your skills, your experience, your job titles — we send its text to Google's Gemini API. There is no way to match jobs to a CV without a machine reading it.

On Google's free tier, content sent to the API may be used to improve Google's models. That is Google's policy for free API keys, not a choice we make. Google's paid tier is excluded from it.

Which key is used depends on you:

• You have added your own Gemini key — everything runs on your key.
• You have not — reading your CV runs on ours, so you can see your matches without setting up a key first. Your first tailored CV runs on ours too; after that, tailoring needs your own key.

If you would rather your CV were not used this way, take out whatever you do not want to share before uploading, or add a paid Google key on the Setup tab.

What we store

• Your email address — it is your account, and how sign-in codes reach you.
• Your CV file and what was read from it. Kept on our server, shown only to you.
• Your Gemini key, if you add one — stored encrypted and never shown again.
• Jobs you mark as applied to, so the tracker can show them back to you.

We do not sell any of it. Apart from sign-in codes and the job digest if you switch it on, we only email you a short reminder about a job you mark as applied or interviewing, and one click stops those.

Deleting it

Deleting a CV removes the file and everything read from it. Deleting your account on the Setup tab removes all of it — CVs, profiles, documents, your tracker, your key and the account itself.

The job listings

Jobs are collected from company job boards that publish them openly. Each role is advertised by the employer named on it, not by us, and every listing links to the employer's own application form. We never submit an application for you.

Cookies

One cookie of our own, to keep you signed in. No advertising cookies.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are used. IP addresses are anonymised, and page addresses are sent without the part after the "?". On the public job, company and role pages we also use Microsoft Clarity, which records clicks and scrolling so we can see where a page confuses people. Clarity is switched off inside the app, so nothing you type there, your CV or your key is ever recorded. Both services set their own cookies. The same tools run on interviewsarthi.com.

Asking about your data

Write to support@interviewsarthi.com and ask for a copy of what we hold, or for it to be deleted.
