Today, we continue to lead because we have a world-class, diverse workforce that puts the customer at the center of everything we do About This Role The Director of Segment Strategy defines and advances AME’s growth, portfolio, and transformation strategy across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa. The role is responsible for developing the overall segment strategy playbook and transformation agenda, managing the strategic planning process, and leading or supporting end-to-end strategy-to-execution initiatives across selected regions, countries, verticals, portfolios, functional & organizational priorities. Reporting to the Executive Director, Segment Strategy, Business Development & Joint Ventures, this role advises senior leaders, translates enterprise priorities into actionable strategies and business plans, and develops execution and transformation roadmaps. The position also mobilizes and leads cross-functional teams in a collaborative manner to drive or participate in the development and execution of important and ad hoc projects. Key Responsibilities Lead segment strategic planning, including growth priorities, portfolio strategy, capital allocation, and execution roadmaps, in collaboration with corporate, zone, and functional teams (e.g., Finance, HR, etc.). Advise senior leadership on strategic decisions by leveraging market, customer, competitor, technology, regulatory, financial, and operational insights. Identify and evaluate growth opportunities across markets, products, services, channels, business models, and customer value propositions. Develop and drive the segment strategy playbook, ensuring a consistent strategy-to-execution framework across zones, functions, countries Lead or support the development of strategic initiatives and topics, including M&A strategy, JV management, digital transformation, vertical strategy, product and solutions strategy, aftermarket strategy, and localization roadmap. Support strategic transactions and initiatives, and other high-priority projects. Facilitate strategy workshops with business and functional leaders to align priorities and accelerate execution. Support segment governance, segment leadership activities, and other ad hoc strategic assignments as required. Required Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Economics, Marketing, Finance, or a related field; MBA or relevant postgraduate degree from renowned institutions preferred. 12+ years of combined corporate and management consulting experience across corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, transformation, corporate development, and related fields from large / global organizations and leading consulting houses Proven track record of end-to-end strategy development and a sstrategic thinker with ability to translate strategy into tangible initiatives and business outcomes. Experience leading multi-country and multi-cultural regional growth & transformation initiatives Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, business & financial acumen Strong executive presence, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills in complex matrix organizations. Experience in HVAC, building technologies, industrial products, or other related domains preferred.
