What success looks like in this role: We are seeking a Sr Tech Field Engineer to join our team and provide expert onsite technical support to large and complex client environments across Australia. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on professional who thrives in customer-facing roles and enjoys working with a wide range of technologies. What You'll Do As a Field Engineer, you will play a critical role in ensuring our clients' systems and infrastructure operate at peak performance. Your responsibilities will include: Installing, repairing, and maintaining hardware and software solutions at client sites Performing server and storage break-fix support, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance Managing onsite service activities from start to finish, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues Conducting installations, upgrades, and system maintenance in customer environments Utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and technical expertise to resolve complex technical challenges Providing technical guidance and support to fellow engineers and team members Identifying recurring issues and recommending process and service improvements Maintaining accurate documentation, reporting, and service records Building strong customer relationships through exceptional service delivery and communication You will be successful in this role if you have: ✔ Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in Field Engineering, Desktop Support, Infrastructure Support, or a related technical role ✔ Experience with hardware maintenance, installations, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical support ✔ Strong problem-solving and analytical skills ✔ Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader technical team ✔ Excellent communication and customer service skills ✔ Technical certification or Associate Degree preferred Mandatory Requirements: Australian Citizenship Active Australian Security Clearance (Baseline or NV1) is required Unisys is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that considers all qualified applicants without regard to age, caste, citizenship, color, disability, family medical history, family status, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, parental status, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, transgender status, veteran status or any other category protected by law.
