Sr Analyst, Supply Chain Planning

What Supply Chain Planning contributes to Cardinal Health Operations is responsible for materials handling and product distribution in a distribution or manufacturing environment. Includes warehousing and fulfillment of materials and products, transportation, inventory management as well as demand, supply and manufacturing planning. Supply Chain Planning is responsible for ensuing the right quantity of products arrive in the right place, at the right time and cost. This job family is accountable for the design and execution of demand planning, supply planning, deployment planning, inventory planning, collaborative planning, expediting, purchasing and the design and implementation of the supply chain network. Supply Chain Planning utilized supplier contracts and manufacturing parameters to exceed customer service level commitments while optimizing supply chain costs and inventory. Supply Chain Planning leverages technology to achieve best in class processes to position supply chain as a competitive advantage. Qualifications 2-4 years of experience In supply planning, supplier management, inventory planning/reduction, replenishment process or related roles, required Knowledge of S&OP cycle, cross-functional collaboration and a solid understanding of supply chain planning principles and logic Experience with contract manufacturers or external suppliers, preferred Experience working with supply chain planning systems such as ERP platforms (e.g., SAP, Kinaxis, Oracle) or advanced planning tools What is expected of you and others at this level Develop and execute supply plans to balance customer demand, inventory, and product availability. Monitor inventory, material availability, and supply risks, taking proactive action to address issues. Analyze supply chain data and key planning metrics to identify risks and improvement opportunities. Maintain accurate planning data and parameters in ERP and supply planning systems. Collaborate with SG/US Planning teams, Procurement, Marketing, and other cross-functional partners. Manage supplier and contract manufacturer performance to ensure continuity of supply. Applies working knowledge in the application of concepts, principles and technical capabilities to perform varied tasks Works on projects of moderate scope and complexity Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes action to resolve Applies judgment within defined parameters Receives general guidance and may receive more detailed instruction on new projects Work reviewed for sound reasoning and accuracy Cardinal Health supports an inclusive workplace that values diversity of thought, experience and background.
