Please confirm your eligibility with the local district office before applying the role. NVIDIA has continuously reinvented itself over two decades. Our invention of the GPU in 1999 sparked the growth of the PC gaming market, redefined modern computer graphics, and revolutionized parallel computing. More recently, GPU deep learning ignited modern AI — the next era of computing. NVIDIA is a "learning machine" that constantly evolves by adapting to new opportunities that are hard to solve, that only we can tackle, and that matter to the world. This is our life's work, to amplify human imagination and intelligence. Our CAD team develops and supports the tools and methodologies behind all of NVIDIA's semiconductor products, from consumer graphics to self-driving cars and AI. We build in-house software for Design for Test (DFT) using C++, Python, and Tcl, which lets us validate and ship some of the world's largest chip designs efficiently. We are a diverse, globally distributed team looking for phenomenal programmers who aren't afraid of a challenge. If this is you, come join us today. What you'll be doing: Design and develop in-house CAD software for DFT, building highly automated and customizable design flows with modular, object-oriented software architecture. Work with users and the DFT methodology, implementation, and design teams to define software requirements and behavior. Work with programming experts on algorithms, program architecture, and implementation. Improve testing and verification infrastructure to make sure the software is correct, reliable, and high quality. Support DFT and power methodologies for industry-leading chip designs. What we need to see: MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Strong C++ programming skills, including knowledge of modern C++ standards (C++11/14/17/20/23). Solid understanding of algorithms and data structures. Proficiency in at least one scripting language, such as Python or Tcl. Strong interpersonal and English communication skills, and a desire to innovate. Ways to stand out from the crowd: A passion for coding, and experience developing CAD/EDA software. Understanding of Design for Test, including Scan, ATPG, BIST, and JTAG. Understanding of Verilog and ASIC design principles, including logic cells, or familiarity with IC design flows. Knowledge of modern software testing frameworks and practices (e.g., gtest, TDD/BDD). Experience with Perl, web services development, or AI-related technologies. NVIDIA is widely considered to be one of the technology world's most desirable employers. We have some of the most forward-thinking and hardworking people in the world working for us. Are you a creative and autonomous engineer who loves a challenge? Come join us and help build the tools that power the future of High Performance Computing, Graphics, and AI.
