And that’s where you come in. Job Description: Hitachi Rail is looking for an enthusiastic self-motivated On board SIGNALLING V&V ENGINEER who thrives in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate is comfortable performing a wide range of tasks from technical to managerial of a work package. The position is based in Naples, Italy. Accountabilities • Design and Execution of laboratory tests on a simulated and real environment • Analysis and Verification of Railway Signaling On-Board Subsystem (requirement analysis, static analysis, software analysis, troubleshooting analysis) • Support the team of Testing and Validation in the definition, organization and execution of the activities relevant for signalling projects • Support the Signaling Validation activities • Conduct all testing and validation activities in full compliance with company standards, contractual requirements, project schedule, test procedures, quality, safety and environmental objectives according to the CENELEC standards • Creation and Drafting of technical documentation, reports and other V&V evidence • Ensure the optimization of documentation and software configuration for testing environment of the laboratories • Perform troubleshooting, identification and resolution of system and subsystem issues • Guarantee the delivery and deployment of the On-Board Subsystem in cooperation with the other Design, Development, RAMS, Engineering teams as well the other relevant stakeholders • Support the Operation & Maintenance people after the delivery. Competencies • Attention to details and accuracy • Strong teamwork and cross-functional collaboration • Planning, organisation and prioritisation • Accountability and results orientation • Ability to perform effectively under pressure • Proactive and continuous-improvement mindset • Clear and concise technical reporting Required Skills/ Knowledge • Software development and programming languages (at least one among C, C++, C#, Java, Python, ADA, etc.) • Good Knowledge of HW and SW systems • Structural Analysis • Problem solving and critical thinking skills with possible experience in validation • Have a strong orientation to work in multi-cultural and/or international environments • Adaptability and flexibility in working in a project/functional matrix organization • Effective written and verbal communication Desired Skills/ Knowledge • ERTMS or other basic railway signalling knowledge (as a plus) • Experience and knowledge of implementation engineering processes covering testing and validation Education/Qualifications Master's Degree (Engineering) or equivalent in Electronic, Telecommunication, Informatic, Computer Science or Information Technology. Languages Fluent in Italian and English.
