We’re looking for a Sr Staff Developer to be part of making this happen. About the Role As a Sr Staff Developer , you’ll take a leadership role in designing and building scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services that power our cybersecurity solutions. You'll mentor junior developers, drive architectural decisions, and work closely with front-end engineers, security teams, and DevOps to create robust and efficient systems. What You’ll Do Architect, develop and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services . Design and implement RESTful APIs, GraphQL endpoints, and micro-services to support frontend applications. Optimise system performance, security, and reliability for large-scale cloud applications. Collaborate with front-end developers, security teams, and DevOps engineers to drive backend innovation. Work with databases to ensure efficient data storage and retrieval. Implement authentication, authorisation, and security best practices. Guide and mentor junior developers, fostering a culture of growth and collaboration. Continuously improve development processes and promote backend best practices. Work with React/Typescript to ensure seamless integration between frontend and backend components. What You Bring 12+ years of experience in backend development , with exposure to full-stack development. Expertise in any of the programming languages such as Go, Python, Java and experience in DataBricks Strong knowledge of RESTful APIs, and micro-services architecture . Experience with databases (such as PostgreSQL) . Proficiency in asynchronous programming, multithreading, and performance optimisation . Familiarity with message queues (such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or SQS) . Strong understanding of security best practices, authentication, and authorisation mechanisms . Proficiency in AWS services such as Lambda, API Gateway, S3, DynamoDB, and ECS. Familiarity with AI native tools (such as lang chain, lang fuse) and ​ experience in development lifecycle with AI-DLC Bonus Points for Experience with containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes/ECS) and cloud-native architectures. Experience with AWS services or AZURE services . Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation) . Familiarity with cybersecurity products like XDR, MDR, SOC Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks like NIST, MITRE Strong experience with Git for version control. Interest in cybersecurity and security operations.
