Senior Manager - Communications

ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES Comms BP for Sustainability Partner with Sustainability and relevant stakeholders to develop communications plans that support key sustainability priorities and initiatives. Lead the communications execution for key sustainability milestones, initiatives and awards, ensuring effective delivery and reach across omni-channel communications. Shape clear and compelling sustainability narratives and develop communications materials, including press releases, articles, speeches, Q&As, key messages, etc. Identify relevant storytelling and engagement opportunities to enhance awareness and understanding of the company’s sustainability priorities. Comms BP for Operations Partner with Operations and manufacturing teams to develop external communications plans that support key operational priorities and initiatives. Lead external communications execution for key milestones for operations, including site initiatives, innovation, sustainability, awards, etc. Shape clear and compelling narratives and develop communications materials, including press releases, articles, speeches, Q&As, and key messages, etc. Identify relevant storytelling and engagement opportunities to enhance awareness and understanding of the company’s operations priorities. Media Relations and Operations Build and maintain trusted relationships with national, regional, and trade media to strengthen AstraZeneca’s corporate reputation through relevant stories, topics, and events. Manage media policies, processes, and governance to ensure consistent, compliant, and effective engagement with media across the organization. Manage media monitoring, clipping, and analysis, providing insights into media coverage, emerging topics, and issues. REQUIREMENTS Qualifications Bachelor's degree or above in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Marketing or related field. 8-10+ years of experience in corporate communications, public relations or media, preferably within healthcare, pharmaceuticals. Excellent writing and editing skills in both English and Chinese. Experience in agency or media preferred. Strong project management, stakeholder management, and influencing skills. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure, matrixed, multinational environment.
