The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Java, Scala, Akka, Angular, Cassandra and Microservices architecture , along with a proven track record of delivering highly scalable, resilient, and maintainable software solutions. The role requires hands-on architectural ownership, mentoring of engineering teams, and close collaboration with product, UX, QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders. On a typical day you will: Technical Leadership Drive architectural decisions, technology selection, and engineering best practices. Review and approve solution designs, technical specifications, and implementation approaches. Identify and address technical debt while improving system maintainability and scalability. Act as a technical mentor and guide for development teams. Full Stack Development Design and develop backend services using Java, Scala, and Akka. Develop responsive and performant frontend applications using Angular and TypeScript. Build and maintain microservices-based solutions following cloud-native principles. Develop RESTful APIs and event-driven services. Ensure high code quality through code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration practices. Architecture & System Design Design highly available, scalable, and fault-tolerant distributed systems. Develop event-driven and reactive applications using Akka and modern architectural patterns. Define standards for security, observability, monitoring, logging, and performance optimization. Collaborate with infrastructure and DevOps teams to improve deployment and operational excellence. Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product Management, UX, QA, DevOps, and Business teams to translate requirements into technical solutions. Facilitate technical discussions and architecture reviews across teams. Support release planning, risk assessment, and project estimations. Drive alignment between engineering initiatives and business objectives. Quality & Engineering Excellence Champion best practices in software engineering, clean coding, testing, and design patterns. Establish and enforce coding standards and development processes. Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex production issues. Promote a culture of continuous improvement and innovation. Required Qualifications 10+ years of experience in software development. Familiarity with Kafka, RabbitMQ, or other messaging platforms. Experience implementing CI/CD pipelines. Knowledge of observability tools such as ELK, Splunk, Grafana, or Prometheus. Experience leading large-scale enterprise modernization initiatives. Experience mentoring senior engineers and technical leads.
