Senior Automation Developer Description - Primary Scope Design, build, test, and deploy automations for finance processes using Automation Anywhere, Power Platform, Python, and GenAI Implement API integrations for existing automated processes and new automation projects (ERP/finance platforms and third-party services) Develop and maintain reusable components/libraries to accelerate delivery and improve maintainability Configure and operate Automation Anywhere Control Room (assets, queues, schedules, environments, packages) and supporting CI/CD pipelines Ensure solutions align with enterprise controls, auditability, and data privacy standards Scope & Impact Collaborates with Technical Solution Architects, SMEs, and engineers to translate business problems into scalable automations Drives process simplification, standardization, and reuse across finance domains Interacts with global, cross-functional teams to deliver multi-process initiatives Enhances operational KPIs by reducing manual effort, cycle time, and exceptions while strengthening compliance and controls Contributes to initiatives involving RPA, API integrations, OCR, NLP, GenAI, and broader AI/ML What you would be doing Solution Delivery Translate PDDs into SDDs and build automations using Automation Anywhere, Power Platform, Python, and GenAI Implement API integrations Design resilient automations with robust exception handling, retry logic, and queue-based patterns Configure assets, queues, and schedules; manage environments, packages, and deployments in Control Room Develop reusable objects/components and shared libraries; enforce coding standards and version control Implement secure credential handling via PAM/Assets/Key Vault integrations Integrate GenAI/OCR/NLP/ML where appropriate Testing & Quality Create and execute unit/integration test cases and test data; document results Support end-to-end testing and UAT; triage defects and implement fixes Implement logging/telemetry (business/technical) and validate non-functional aspects (performance, resilience) Operations & Support Monitor bot runs, SLAs, and exceptions; perform root-cause analysis and implement preventive measures Provide L3 support, upgrades, and change control following SDLC practices Optimize automations for performance, stability, and cost; maintain technical documentation and runbooks Collaboration & Ways of Working Align with target architecture, controls, and guardrails set by Technical Solution Architects, ARB, Cyber Security teams Partner with business SMEs and engineers to refine requirements and simplify processes Contribute to code reviews, peer learning, demos, and internal enablement (how-to guides) Work in Agile (Scrum/Kanban), delivering increments and managing backlog items Compliance & Risk Ensure adherence to financial controls, auditability, segregation of duties, and data privacy standards Apply secure, standardized design patterns and maintain audit-ready documentation Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field 7–10 years of software development and/or RPA delivery experience Hands-on expertise with: Automation Anywhere; Automation Anywhere Developer Certification required API integration .NET/C# or VB.NET for custom activities; SQL for data operations Microsoft Power Platform for complementary automation scenarios Credential vaults (e.g., BeyondTrust/PAM) and secure secrets management CI/CD pipelines for RPA, branching/merging, package versioning Virtualized environments (VMware, Citrix) and selector/surface automation best practices Strong understanding of the RPA delivery lifecycle, opportunity assessment, and process optimization Proven experience documenting SDDs, deployment/runbooks (MTP, DSD documents, handover book), test cases, and support artifacts Excellent problem-solving, debugging, performance tuning, and communication skills in a global/multicultural environment Preferred: Finance process exposure (O2C, R2R, P2P), experience with AWS/Azure services and GenAI integrations, NLP/chatbots, and knowledge of governance/risk/compliance frameworks in regulated environments Job - Software Schedule - Full time Shift - No shift premium (India) Travel - Relocation - Equal Opportunity Employer (EEO) - HP, Inc. provides equal employment opportunity to all employees and prospective employees, without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, ancestry, citizenship, sexual orientation, age, disability, or status as a protected veteran, marital status, familial status, physical or mental disability, medical condition, pregnancy, genetic predisposition or carrier status, uniformed service status, political affiliation or any other characteristic protected by applicable national, federal, state, and local law(s).
