Title and Summary Senior Analyst, Analytics & Metrics - Open Finance Overview The Strategic Customer Analytics - Open Finance team serves as a trusted analytics partner to Mastercard's Open Finance clients, helping customers understand performance, identify growth opportunities, and maximize value from Mastercard's data and connectivity solutions. The Senior Analyst, Analytics & Metrics will play a critical role in transforming complex datasets into actionable insights that drive business decisions for both internal and external stakeholders. This role combines advanced analytics, data storytelling, client consulting, and cross-functional collaboration. The successful candidate will partner closely with Customer Success, Product, Engineering, Business Intelligence, and executive leadership teams to develop performance reporting, investigate trends, uncover opportunities, and communicate findings through compelling analyses and presentations. The ideal candidate is highly comfortable working with large datasets, and capable of translating technical concepts into clear business recommendations. They will have opportunities to influence strategic initiatives, support key client relationships, and help shape the future of analytics within Mastercard's Open Finance organization. You will also collaborate closely with a globally distributed team across North America, India, Europe, South Africa, and South America, requiring strong communication skills and an ability to work effectively across time zones. Role - Analyze customer and platform performance data to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and actionable business recommendations. - Develop and deliver executive-level dashboards, scorecards, presentations, and business reviews for both internal stakeholders and external clients. - Partner with Customer Success Managers and Account Management teams to provide data-driven insights that support client growth and retention. - Investigate performance changes, conversion trends, operational issues, and client inquiries through detailed root-cause analysis. - Collaborate with Business Intelligence, Data Engineering, Product, and Engineering teams to improve reporting capabilities and analytical methodologies. - Design and maintain scalable reporting solutions using enterprise analytics platforms and data visualization tools. - Leverage automation, AI-enabled analytics, and modern reporting techniques to improve efficiency and enhance the quality of client insights. - Identify opportunities to standardize reporting processes and establish analytics best practices across the organization. - Support strategic initiatives by providing analytical expertise, forecasting, performance measurement, and business case development. - Leverage modern data platforms including Snowflake, Databricks, Tableau, and enterprise reporting tools. - Partner with geographically distributed teammates and stakeholders across multiple regions to deliver consistent, high-quality analytics and reporting outcomes. - Support client-facing engagements, including periodic travel for business reviews, strategic planning sessions, and performance discussions (15-20% in North America and occasionally internationally) All About You - Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related experience. - Experience in analytics, business intelligence, consulting, strategy, or a related analytical role. - Strong SQL and data analysis skills with experience working with large-scale datasets. - Experience using data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms. - Exceptional analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities. - Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present insights to executive audiences. - Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. - Experience translating technical concepts into business-focused recommendations. Nice-to-Have - Experience in financial services, fintech, payments, open banking, open finance, or digital platforms. - Knowledge of A/B testing, performance measurement, forecasting, or statistical analysis techniques. - Familiarity with cloud data platforms such as Snowflake and Databricks. - Experience working in client-facing analytics or consulting environments. - Experience leveraging AI tools and automation to improve reporting and analytical workflows. In line with Mastercard’s total compensation philosophy and assuming that the job will be performed in the US, the successful candidate will be offered a competitive base salary and may be eligible for an annual bonus or commissions depending on the role. The base salary offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
