About the business A leading provider of rolling stock, infrastructure and advanced technologies for global rail customers. The company delivers locomotives and engines, trackwork, signaling, fasteners, and comprehensive locomotive and freight car services, along with aftermarket parts and recycling. Its technology portfolio includes data analytics, automation, connected assets, predictive maintenance and yard optimization tools. About the role Reporting to the General Manager, Indonesia Operations, you will be responsible for overseeing import/export activities, leading a high-performing logistics and purchasing team, developing sourcing strategies, and managing supplier relationships. You will work closely with stakeholders across Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Sales, both locally and internationally. About You A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Business, Commerce, Engineering, or a related discipline. 7-10 years' experience in procurement, logistics, supply chain, or materials management, including managing import/export operations and international logistics. Strong experience in supplier management, contract negotiations, and strategic sourcing. Proven success delivering cost reduction and process improvement initiatives. Previous leadership experience with the ability to develop and motivate teams. Experience working with ERP and inventory management systems. Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and problem-solving capability Responsibilities of the Position Manage domestic and international logistics operations, including transportation, customs clearance, and import/export activities. Oversee inventory planning, stock control, and warehouse operations to ensure supply continuity and inventory accuracy. Monitor procurement, logistics, and inventory performance metrics and provide regular reporting to management. Ensure compliance with company policies, trade regulations, and ethical procurement standards. Lead, coach, and develop team members while fostering a culture of accountability, safety, and continuous improvement Develop and implement procurement and sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives. Lead purchasing activities including supplier selection, contract negotiations, and procurement of goods and services. Build and maintain strategic supplier relationships while driving supplier performance improvements. Identify cost-saving opportunities and deliver procurement efficiencies.
