Lead Engineer

What success looks like in this role: Responsibilities: Develop and maintain Java/Python-based applications and Microservices Build and support cloud-native solutions on AWS Develop REST APIs and event-driven integrations Design and implement Elasticsearch/OpenSearch solutions, including document indexing, upserts, and complex Bool Query-based search Build and optimize PySpark/Glue ETL jobs Deploy and manage containerized applications on EKS Participate in code reviews, production support, and technical discussions Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions Required Skills Strong programming experience in Java and Python Hands-on experience with Spring Boot , REST APIs, and Microservices Experience with PySpark and AWS Glue for data processing Strong knowledge of AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, S3, Kinesis, DynamoDB, SNS, SQS, and SSM Hands-on experience with Elasticsearch/OpenSearch , including Bool Queries, document indexing/upserts, and Kibana Experience with PostgreSQL Hands-on experience with Docker and Kubernetes (Amazon EKS) Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices Good problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills #LI-MI1 You will be successful in this role if you have: BA/BS degree and 10-13 years’ relevant experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience Unisys is proud to be an equal opportunity employer that considers all qualified applicants without regard to age, blood type, caste, citizenship, color, disability, family medical history, family status, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, gender identity, genetic information, marital status, national origin, parental status, pregnancy, race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, transgender status, veteran status or any other category protected by law.
