Position will be located at Odessa, TX. Jr. Technician - Entry Level What this job involves – Facilities Technician - entry level is ideal for individuals who enjoy hands-on work and are eager to learn about building maintenance. As an entry-level facilities technician, you'll be part of a team responsible for maintaining and improving our building's functionality, appearance, and safety. We value a positive attitude and willingness to learn over extensive experience. What is your day to day? Assisting with basic building repairs and maintenance tasks Helping with painting interior and exterior surfaces Performing simple plumbing tasks, such as unclogging drains Changing light bulbs and assisting with basic electrical work. Moving furniture and equipment as needed. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment Learning to use various tools and equipment safely. Assisting experienced technicians with more complex tasks. Responding to and completing work orders in a timely manner. Physical Work Abilities & Requirements: This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including: Walking large, campus-like settings. Lifting a minimum of 50 lbs. Climbing stairs and navigating rooftops to access equipment. Using ladders up to 30 ft and working from heights. Ability to Climb a ladder with a 300-lb weight limit. Desired experience and technical skills Required High school diploma or equivalent Positive attitude and eagerness to learn Good communication skills Ability to work well in a team setting Basic computer skills Reliability and punctuality Customer service orientation Preferred Some experience or interest inbuilding maintenance, construction, or related fields Familiarity with hand and power tools Basic understanding of building systems (plumbing, electrical, HVAC) This position does not provide visa sponsorship.
