ITOT System Release Associate Manager

The Position The position is responsible for the planning and coordination of local activities that take place before, during, and after the deployment of Product Increments (PI) into the site-specific system landscape, taking compliance requirements into account, thereby ensuring minimal disruption to business processes. The most important individual tasks of the function: Product Increment (PI) Planning and Facilitation: Develops a cross-system strategy for the implementation of PI and release updates for the critical systems of the ITOT System Landscape. Monitors the progress of all activities throughout the entire PI cycle and ensures that the features/optimizations defined for the PI are delivered. Defines and monitors key performance indicators (e.g., delivery percentage, risks, lead time, etc.) and derives corresponding measures for continuous improvement. Leads site-specific planning and coordinates the execution of activities during the implementation of Product Increments (PI, releases). Is responsible for conducting the site-specific, technical Impact Assessment and technically ensures that production/packaging is possible during downtime. Ensures, together with the ITOT leadership team, that the expert teams working on the PI are adequately equipped with resources (budgets, time) and supported. Ensures that dependencies and risks are identified during planning and appropriate countermeasures are implemented. Ensures that priorities, impacts of changes, and downtimes are aligned with all stakeholders (technical SPS of ITOT, Planning, Business Owner). Together with the QA functions, compliance according to local/global regulations is ensured at all times. Acts as SPOC during the entire PI cycle and is the first point of contact for escalations. Coordinates all communication during the entire PI cycle with stakeholders and ensures that the delivered results meet expectations. Approaches work with a business mindset (Safety First, Quality Always) and an agile mentality (focusing on fast, stable, and reliable service delivery) Management of the Product Backlog and Roadmap Alignment: Is the SPOC for the BPE community. Defines and prioritizes new requirements and functional changes in collaboration with the BPE community and in coordination with the SPS community. Is responsible for ensuring that the Product Backlog is well-maintained/updated and that requirements arising from the perspective of global/local IT products or the local ITOT system landscape are considered. Ensures that features/requirements affecting S4 are communicated to the ARTs and included in the corresponding Product Backlogs. Is responsible for ensuring that the definition of local requirements, the analysis of the impact on the local system landscape, is divided into manageable work packages and that corresponding feedback is provided to the S4 ARTs. Ensures that the PIs are aligned with the overall product roadmap of the local ITOT system landscape. Ensures that delivery deadlines are met and PIs are delivered and released with high quality. Needs-based planning, taking into account customer priorities and customer needs, with the aim of minimizing downtime. Technical Risk and Problem Management: Responsible for on-site and remote application support for ASPIRE systems liaising between end users and business SPOCs, proactively troubleshooting system interfaces (including MES, EWM, and S/4), escalating and following up on complex issues with global teams in operation. Acting as an ITOT SME to join the activities of the inspection, audit and quality events. Identification, mitigation, or escalation of risks that may affect the successful delivery of the PIs. Proactive management of problems that occur during the PI cycle, with the goal of quickly resolving them and avoiding delays. Development of workaround strategies and coordination of the implementation of workarounds. Escalation of critical risks or problems to the globally responsible unit that could affect delivery deadlines, generate additional workarounds, or impair site productivity. Active coordination of Problem Management during downtime, cutover phase, Return2Service, and Hypercare in collaboration with BSS the Ops Agile Teams (ASPIRE) and ITOT Leads. Continuous Improvement: Leading retrospectives and post-PI reviews to identify areas where the planning and execution process needs improvement. Encouraging teams to apply agile best practices and improve their speed and quality over time. Promotion of continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of future product increments. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering – Automation, Applied Computer Science, Business Informatics, Engineering, or a comparable degree. 10+ years experience in production/quality-related processes with ERP and ITOT system development, service management methodology (ITIL), and data processing Specialist knowledge: Very good system knowledge of SAP S4 (ERP), EWM, ITOT System Landscape Very good standard software knowledge Very good knowledge of pharma production and Quality processes Very good English language skills Proven project management skills Team player High flexibility Ability and willingness to proactively identify challenges and solutions, learn new things, share knowledge, and develop “best practices” Service delivery expert with an agile mindset Curious to explore new technologies and learn new concepts to solve problems sustainably and effectively.
