Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Lead) Company: The Boeing Company The Boeing Company is actively recruiting for a Guidance, Navigation, and Control Engineer (Associate, Mid-Level, or Lead) to join our team in Hill Air Force Base, UT or Layton, UT. Boeing Defense and Space Systems is growing in the area of aircraft, missile, weapons, and autonomous system guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) system design, development, integration, and test. Flight Engineering is looking for a motivated and talented engineer to join the Boeing team in this exciting business area for the Minuteman III Sustainment program. The candidate supports sustainment in a wide range of existing and new areas of GNC, performance analysis, simulation solutions, nuclear hardness and survivability, and inertial instruments. The selected candidate will have visibility into G&C and simulation methods across the Boeing enterprise. Position Responsibilities: Gather system level requirements for guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) sustainment requirements definition Perform and document analysis of guidance, navigation, and control (GNC) systems, simulations, models, and tools Support reviews, analyses, simulations, and component/system testing to ensure delivery of products that meet or exceed customer requirements and expectations Support testing and troubleshooting of sustainment related products/service anomalies and incidents Participate in Minuteman III Guidance efforts to ensure End of Life (EOL) can be sustained or surpassed Works under direction of senior engineers, under general direction, or independently Basic Qualifications (Required Skills and Experience): Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology (including Manufacturing Technology), Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry or non-US equivalent qualifications directly related to the work statement Level 2: 2+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education Level 3: 5+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education Level 4: 9+ years of related work experience and a bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of related work experience and technical education Experience or coursework in control systems or guidance, navigation, and control system design Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills and Experience): Experience with simulation and/or system/component modeling Experience with Kalman Filter design and estimation techniques Experience with implementing algorithms in real-time systems Experience with the auto-coding of software Experience or coursework using Matlab/Simulink, MatrixX, or similar tools Experience or coursework in computer programming in C, C#, C++, Ada, or other common programming languages Conflict of Interest: Successful candidates for this job must satisfy the Company’s Conflict of Interest (COI) assessment process.
