The Position Join Roche and Global Medical Affairs (PDMA) as a Global Medical Collaboration Leader to shape the development & commercialization journey of our early & late stage development pipeline in Cardiometabolic Health. This role has in-country & above country responsibilities during a very exciting time in our journey in CVRM. You will join a fantastic team, and a close-knit community, with members across the world (ex-US). This role is offered as a Contract for 24 months . The GMCL is a medical , global field-based role working across countries and affiliates to accelerate the development and delivery of medicines to patients through effective medical customer engagement across the lifecycle of a molecule/Disease Area (DA). • Acts as a strategic medical partner for global teams and affiliate colleagues to execute the efficient delivery of medical strategy and external customer engagement activities within the assigned DA(s) and geography • Understands needs and supports strategic planning and tactical deployment across different phases of the DA(s) lifecycle, including but not limited to how to address recruitment and retention challenges in clinical development programs, how to shape and improve HCPs and patient journeys, how to support medical launch readiness and access in the assigned geographies • Serves as an above country medical expert, establishing scientific collaborations and value based partnerships with different healthcare stakeholders (including therapy area experts, scientific societies and site staff), as appropriate • The GMCL supports our medicines and disease areas with an end to end mindset, providing input and support since the early stages of the DA(s) area lifecycle, as appropriate and aligned to business priorities Summary of Main Responsibilities 1. Develops and facilitates relationships and collaborative networks with external stakeholders ensuring Roche is the preferred partner and championing a ONE Roche approach 2. Engages, educates and partners with investigators and site staff to enable and expedite successful delivery of clinical development programs within the assigned DA(s) (from early through late stage development) 3. Provides real-time insights and ground level understanding of the disease area landscape across countries to inform cross-functional strategies 4. Partners with global cross-functional colleagues and affiliates to enhance medical launch readiness and support access to treatment in assigned countries 5. Contributes to the high performance and innovation of the GMC function to optimise customer experience and to evolve to meet the needs of the organisation Professional and Technical Requirements and Experience ● Required: Postgraduate Degree in a science related field (PhD, PharmD, MSc, MD) ● Required: Substantial experience in a medical/scientific field customer facing role ● Highly desired: Deep experience in the disease areas of Obesity, Diabetes, or Cardiovascular (e.g., ASCVD, HF). ● Significant experience in the pharmaceutical or related industry at global/affiliate level ● Experience in Medical Affairs, Product Development or Early Development is essential, including understanding and experience of processes and procedures for clinical trials ● Mandatory: Fluency in Written and Spoken English ● Mandatory: Fluency in Written and Spoken language of the host country (native speakers are strongly preferred) ● Understands and maintains knowledge of global and local regulations, guidelines and SOPs, GXP standards and other important business intelligence resources relevant to the role Skills and Competencies ● Demonstrates Roche Values and Leadership Commitments and VACC leadership ● Demonstrates customer centric mindset and behaviours, builds strong sustainable relationships with internal and external stakeholders ● Strong data comprehension skills, critical appraisal, synthesis, interpretation and delivery of data/information skills ● Externally focused: proactively monitors the external landscape to understand and communicate trends, competitive activity, risks and opportunities ● Excellent communication skills: proven ability to collaborate effectively in global, virtual, line, and matrix teams, spanning diverse geographic areas, business settings, and cultures. ● Project management skills: proven ability to lead projects to successful conclusion demonstrating initiative and accountability ● Entrepreneurial mindset and strong problem-solving skills focused on delivering outcomes/impact ● Well developed influencing and negotiating skills, with the ability to influence without direct authority. Location/ Trave This role is field based supporting Türkiye and additional countries to be defined. Frequent travel will be required within Türkiye, and occasionally internationally (e.g., international congress, visiting countries support,. External engagement is based on an optimized mix of face-to-face and virtual engagements). There is no mandatory time in the office. There is preference however for candidates based in Istanbul.
