Fund Accounting and Administration Product Owner - Insurance Accounting, Assistant Vice President

Who we are looking for The Performance Analytics Product Development team is seeking a business analyst / product owner to work with Product, Technology, and Service Delivery teams to design and deliver performance and analytics solutions. You will be responsible for translating complex business needs into clear product requirements and Agile stories, supporting end to end delivery from testing through production rollout, and serve as a subject matter expert for performance and analytics capabilities and applications. What you will be responsible for As Performance and Analytics Business Analyst you will Lead workflow analysis, data analysis, requirements analysis for current and future state models and ensure product integration with upstream and downstream applications Gather business requirements and create detailed product requirements, technical requirements, feature specifications, and agile stories Define requirements and agile stories for investment analytics, data models, and data mapping Subject matter expert for Performance and Analytics Applications Define and maintain project schedules, milestones, risks, issues, assumptions, dependencies, decisions, architecture, and cross product dependencies Develop product roadmaps, business cases, project objectives, operating models, product design, product requirements, process flows, and wireframes Collaborate with Product, Technology, Service Delivery, and other internal stakeholders in the development and rollout of new products and product capabilities Support product testing including user acceptance testing as well as test case and test data Drive product readiness including release notes, documentation, training, and governance activities for new capabilities and enhancements Provide communication to senior leadership on product development activities, projects status, and product roadmaps What we value These skills will help you succeed in this role Experience in Financial Services, Investment Analysis, Asset Management, or related fields Experience in product development, product management, business analysis, investment operations, or software solutions Strong analytical capability in both quantitative analysis and technical domains Skill and experience with financial data modeling and mapping Expertise in Investment Performance & Analytics Experience working with Investment Accounting data and services Ability to distil complex information into clear, concise, and actionable insights Familiarity with software development process and software/product lifecycle development activities Experience with advanced data analysis and large data sets, as well as strong SQL skills Education & Preferred Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business, Mathematics, or equivalent. 5-7 years of relevant work experience Strong knowledge of Performance & Analytics Strong knowledge of Investment Accounting and Financial Services space Product development, product management, or software development experience preferred Accounting knowledge a plus Advanced degrees in Finance or related professional certifications (CA/CFA/CIPM/CAIA or equivalent) a plus Prior product management and/or software development experience preferred About State Street Across the globe, institutional investors rely on us to help them manage risk, respond to challenges, and drive performance and profitability.
