Experienced P-8 Maintenance Technician Company: Boeing Aerospace Operations Seeking a Experienced P-8 Maintenance Technicians to support the P-8A Site Activation Support Team at NAS Whidbey Island, WA This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options. Position Responsibilities: Assembly, disassembly and modification of systems by removal, replacement or upgrade of aerospace vehicle components to correct failures or implement changes. Assembly, disassembly or overhaul. Configures aerospace vehicles and bench test equipment. Troubleshoots complex pneumatic, hydraulic and electrical systems to isolate mechanical or electrical faults and repair faulty components. Oversees validation/verification testing of systems and components. Documents procedures and established processes to ensure contractual and regulatory compliance (e.g., repairs, test results, applicable modifications and inspection results). Inspects components and verifies repairs for flight worthiness requirements. Perform tasks associated with the safe handling of an aerospace vehicle (e.g. jacking, towing, system operations). Works under minimal direction. ​ Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience): Minimum 3 years' experience with General Aircraft Mechanic techniques and processes At the sole discretion of leadership, must be willing and able (on potentially short-notice) to deploy/travel to a variety of locations (domestic and international) and for a variety of deployment durations to meet customer needs and the statement of work. Unless compelling reasons exist, failure to deploy/travel will be considered as a resignation. Must be willing to work variable shifts, including weekends and overtime. Some positions may also be rotating shifts. ​ Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience): 4 years or more experience supporting a 737, AAS, INC3, and 4790 maintenance organization. Experience working with U. S. Navy Personnel Qualification Standard (PQS).
