Position Summary The Finance Cost Engineer manages financial operations and cost controls for infrastructure construction projects at our semiconductor foundry facility. You oversee all financial aspects of construction ensuring projects stay on budget and meet strict financial goals by tracking capital expenditures (CapEx), forecasting cash flow, and reviewing pay applications. You partner closely with project management, procurement, and compliance teams to mitigate financial risks and resolve cost disputes quickly. You will rely on being a proactive problem solver who thrives in a fast-paced, high-pressure, and constantly changing environment and you will deploy your collaborative mindset in building strong alignment between finance, procurement, and compliance groups. Role and Responsibilities Here’s What You’ll Be Responsible For: Build and maintain dynamic cost-tracking databases and project-level cost breakdown structures (CBS). Review contractor and vendor billing applications against physical progress on the job site. Perform independent cost estimates (ICE) for major change orders and contractor variation claims. Conduct monthly variance analysis comparing actual spend and forecasts against baseline budgets. Coordinate project close-out financial audits, final accounting reconciliations, and retention releases. Implement value compliance processes in partnership with construction managers to optimize CapEx efficiency. Skills and Qualifications Here's what you'll need: Advanced understanding of capital project lifecycle stages from schematic design through commissioning and close-out. Deep knowledge of construction contracting methods (e.g. Lump Sum, Cost Plus, Time & Material) and mechanics' liens laws. Strong working knowledge of standard industry accounting principles and CapEx depreciation rules. Expert-level spreadsheet skills (advanced Excel modeling, pivot tables, macros/VBA). Exceptional analytical and mathematical capabilities for handling large, complex data sets. The current base salary range for this role is between $95,000 - $120,000. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
